Just saw our real estate tax bill for the first half of 2017…..increase of $874.77 (8.834%) for the year.
Well if this does not reinforce what we have been saying about pricing seniors and others living on fixed incomes out of their homes, I am not sure what will. Anyone get a 8.834% increase in their wages this year?
I spoke to a Lake County village official who stated that part of the problem is Governor Kasich balanced the State budget by reducing the amount of money the State sends to the cities, townships and villages. (Local government funds). I will have to do more research on this topic, so that I can share it will Lake County residents.
