Lake County Development Council

We had never heard of the Lake County Development Council, so we thought that we should ask some questions.   We asked if they received any local, State or federal funds. We received the following prompt, very detailed reply.

Hi Brian, appreciate you reaching out.

No we do/have not received funds from any State, Federal, or Local taxpayer sources.
The Lake County Development Council is a non-partisan, not-for-profit organization that survives strictly on membership dues and sponsors for the Economic Forum (the Legislative Breakfast is a break even event for us to cover catering).
We’ve never asked the Commissioners’ Office or Port Authority for funds. We do however, within our mission, use our own access funds to support county-wide things like The Miracle League, Artsfest, Lake Visitors’ Bureau, Chambers, agriculture and manufacturing surveys; and anywhere else we can make a county-wide, bigger picture impact.
Take care
Kirk
