2. News “Ohio Families Lose” from Ohio State Board of Education by Kirsten Hill
Ohio now has statewide social and emotional learning standards (SEL). This means that local school districts will have the full blessing and resources of the state (via Ohio Department of Education (ODE)) to implement programs of their choice in Ohio schools promoting and measuring feelings, values, beliefs, dispositions, attitudes and behaviors.
A majority (11) of Ohio board of education members showed their true colors in the votes they cast APPROVING the adoption of statewide social and emotional learning standards on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, in Columbus. Elected members Dodd (District 9), Haycock (District 1), Johnson (District 11), McGuire (District 3), Miranda (District 6), Owens (District 10) along with appointed members Collins, Kohler (Board President), Lamoncha, Manchester and Poklar approved these standards.
This group of SEL standards-approving Ohio board of education members did so without the guards provided in the amendment board member Hill proposed. The amendment would have limited the measuring and collecting of data on student’s social and emotional traits and additionally guarded against psychiatric or psychological examination, testing or treatment without prior written consent of the student’s parent or guardian which is codified in federal law 34 CFR 98.4. There are more problems with implementing SEL standards which were not included in this amendment.
Promoters of social and emotional learning state standards across the country, such as CASEL, their vendor friends in the industry, within ODE, within U.S. Dept. of Education and others standing to benefit financially and otherwise, are cheering today.

So much for fighting from the inside…been saying it for years. Sarah Fowler, who is a lovely person and I voted for her every time, is terming out and must do something else. She’s been on the Ohio School Board for years. The biggest issue was Common Core (she was unable to stop and now our kids are dumber for it, which has been proven with hard numbers), which is every bit the failure those of us who are awake knew it would be. Sarah has fought hard for Home Schoolers too, and recently she pointed out that, once again, Home Schoolers were denied the same funding that everyone else does…discrimination. People home schooling their kids are forced to pay the same property taxes and you and I so how does that work exactly. And now SEL…she has been unable to stop this evil as well.
I hear all the time that you can fight from the inside. Horse excrement! That might be true if there were enough folks like Sarah Fowler or Brian Massie or Kim Laurie…uncorruptable people who refuse to compromise their principals and what is right for anything of this world. What really happens is those people are completely outnumbered by the black hats in their respective parties, government entities, and organizations, etc. I’m guessing that Sarah may have been able to stave off some other hideous BS that these whack jobs want to perpetrate on the minds of our innocent children. I mean, look at Jesus for heaven’s sake. He had crowds of people cheering his name and throwing palm branches on the ground and 3 days later they were shouting crucify him. Even some of his own disciples turned on him. William Wallace experienced the same thing. Disgusting and pathetic.

During the holocaust there were Jews that sold their own people out, George Soros is one and he admits that…no remorse…truly an evil man. During slavery in this country the house slave (I won’t use the correct term) helped the slave master keep the slaves in line even beating them on behalf of the master…but you see he had food in his belly and a warm bed in the house while his brethren were kept outside in conditions worse than the master’s dogs.
Hitler, Stalin, and Mao…along with all the rest of the world’s tyrants could never have done what they were able to do…all the horrible evil things…without the willing participation of many of the people. The treason going on in this Country in government at all levels cannot happen without the willing participation of many. In some cases it is as simple as “Keep your mouth shut or you will lose your cushy government job with all the bennies and a pension that might be there when you retire.” People look the other way for a paycheck even though they know what is going on is wrong.
And when the people bring proof to the politicians about wrongdoing, the politicians betray the people they are elected to represent as a result of greed and lust for power, i.e. higher office. They use their connections to make a fortune at the expense of the people. They refuse to admit that they are wrong, have broken the law, or have done something unethical…all at the expense of the people they work for. Hypocrisy and psychopathy on parade. Good people are kept out of running for office due to the cost of running. I think I read an article earlier that it costs nearly $100K to run for Lake County Commissioner.
Does any government type, other than Trump, refuse to take a paycheck if they don’t really NEED it? Has you government at any level continued to give themselves raises in the way of direct increases by Resolution and taxation? Do they use their connections and power to increase their net worth? Do they vote in term limits? Wake up people, because if you do not your kids and grandkids will never be able to live the American dream. If you can, pull those kids out of the public fool system so they have a chance at learning how to critically think. Enrollment is down all over but the schools still have their hand out for more…and nearly every levy coming down the pike these days is CONTINUOUS…which is a slap in the face to the people…hey we don’t care one wit about you slave…we do not want to have to come back and deal with you again so we are just going to make it all continuous and you will be stupid enough to pass it…and just to make sure we will place it on the ballot in an off election in May so that the thing will pass narrowly but by Godfrey it will pass. Deceptive and despicable…any justification for putting a levy on a May ballot is BS people…they know what they are doing.
During the first American Revolution there were people loyal to the crown. They didn’t know how to function outside of slavery to the crown. Look at the Israelites in Exodus…nothing new under the sun. Individual responsibility is really difficult for lazy people. Apathy is the lowest form on consciousness. And we’ve got both lazy and apathy in spades unfortunately. Many in the patriot movement are big talkers…but when the rubber meets the road it’s just a lot of hot air…no action backing up their words. Until people awaken…and grow a spine, the true patriots have a real heavy lift. I will keep you and your brave patriots in my prayers. I will end with the words of the great William Wallace as he was being murdered, FREEDOM!!!!!
