Some time ago LFC filed a complaint with the State of Ohio Auditor’s office and the Internal Revenue Service because of what we believe is improper financial activity among the Visitors Bureau, the Lake County Commissioners, and the Lake County Port Authority. The letter below is the reply we received from the Auditor’s office. We will see if the State has the back of Lake County’s taxpayers.
We had no other choice but to file the complaints with the State of Ohio, and the Internal Revenue Service. Two of the three Commissioners and the Prosecutor’s Office become antagonists when the peasants speak up and challenge their authority. No debate, no discussion, just begone with the peasants and their silly arguments. The last thing Commissioners Cirino and Young want is the taxpayers “looking under the hood”.
