RENACCI to introduce PLECNIK at Campaign Kickoff
for Republican State Central Committee
LAKE COUNTY, OHIO – Former Congressman Jim Renacci will visit Lake County to introduce Tax Professor and former Councilman John Plecnik at his campaign kickoff for Republican State Central Committee in Senate District 18, which includes portions of Lake, Geauga and Portage Counties. As a Congressman and member of the Ways & Means Committee, Renacci was one of the authors of the Tax Cuts & Jobs Act
of 2017. Today, Renacci serves as Chairman of Ohio’s Future Foundation. As a Councilman and Chair of the Finance Committee for the City of Willoughby Hills, Plecnik balanced the budget, cut taxes, reduced the City debt by half and authored the tax abatement which brought Produce Packaging, Inc. and over 300 good-paying jobs to Lake County. Plecnik’s campaign kickoff is scheduled for Thursday, February 6th, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Willoughby Hills VFW Post 4358 on 29412 White Road. More details are available at JohnPlecnik.com on how to RSVP for the kickoff.
“We are so honored to have one of Ohio’s greatest public servants and thought leaders join us as we kickoff our campaign to bring Common Sense to Columbus,” said fmr. Councilman John Plecnik. “Congressman Jim Renacci and I both cut taxes, because we both understand that tax dollars belong to taxpayers, not the government. We should always be looking for ways to find tax savings, cut taxes and make Ohio more competitive.”
Republican State Central Committeeman John Popelka (Senate District 25) is also scheduled to speak at Plecnik’s campaign kickoff. “I am honored to join Congressman Renacci and so many others to support Councilman John Plecnik at his kickoff,” said Republican State Central Committeeman John Popelka (Senate District 25). “John is famous for being a Tax Professor who CUTS taxes! The Lake County Republican Party recognized John as the Outstanding Republican County Central Committee Member of the Year in 2018. John is a true Conservative. For all those reasons, I am so proud to join our Congressman Dave Joyce, Republican State Central Committeewoman
Denise Verdi (Senate District 25) and Republican State Central Committeewoman Mary O’Toole (Senate District 18) in ENDORSING John to help us lead the Ohio Republican Party.”
The race for Republican State Central Committee will be decided on Tuesday, March 17th in the primary election.
