Podcast Review-Charlie Kirk

I am a podcast addict, I must admit. It is a great way to get information, many times, the same information but from different viewpoints.

Listening to The Charlie Kirk Show is very informative as well as, very often, a learning experience. There are many facets to Charlie’s show, but first, let me tell you a little bit about him.

Charlie is a 26-year-old self-described Conservatarian (as he has called himself on at least one of his shows) which is blend of conservatism and libertarianism, a debt and deficit hawk, and he is an Evangelical Christian who very often speaks at the Godspeak Calvary Chapel in Thousand Oaks, CA where his pastor, Rob McCoy, is the lead pastor.

Charlie is the “Founder and President of Turning Point USA, which is a national student movement dedicated to identifying, organizing and empowering young people to promote the principles of free markets and limited government” as stated on the “about” page of www.charliekirk.com

Charlie founded Turning Point USA on June 5, 2012 at the age of 18 when he decided that he would take a gap year after high school before starting college. His decision to take a gap year led into his current career and ironically, he never attended college but, instead has this organization that has chapters on over 2000 high school and college campuses across the country, with 250,000 student members and over 150 full-time staff. The Charlie Kirk Show puts out two podcasts per day for a total of fourteen podcasts per week. This was ramped up at the start of the pandemic lockdowns. His podcasts reach over 100 million people per month according to Axios.

The reason that I say that his show is often a learning experience is because not only does he talk about current events in politics, but he often will dive deep into various topics and educate his audience on various forms of government, history of the United States, past presidents and things such as critical race theory and the controversial hydroxychloroquine, when he had nine doctors speak out on the subject.

Charlie very often has guests on his podcasts such as Kirk Cameron, Greg Gutfeld, Jared Kushner, Allie Beth Stuckey, Ben Shapiro, Candace Owens and some of the biggest newsmakers of our time. Every Monday, Charlie has an “Ask Me Anything” show, where he reads and answers various questions which have been emailed to him from his listeners.

Charlie Kirk is also an author of three books including “Time for a Turning Point: Setting a Course Toward Free Markets and Limited Government for Future Generations”, “Campus Battlefield: How Conservatives Can WIN the Battle on Campus and Why It Matters” and the most recently released “The MAGA Doctrine: The Only Ideas that Will Win the Future” which is on the New York Times best seller list. Charlie often gives away signed copies of his book during his show.

Charlie is passionate about getting people involved in our political process and offers a variety of resources to student activists committed to organizing and promoting conservative values on campuses as well as Activism Grants to students who are planning events and projects that will advance the principles of limited government, free markets and capitalism on his TP website.

If you like to listen to well educated, articulate young conservative voices, you will love “The Charlie Kirk Show” and I highly recommend adding this podcast to your weekly, if not daily routine. The show varies anywhere from 30 minutes to over 1 hour in length and can be found on Apple Podcasts, PodcastOne and Spotify.

As if that weren’t enough, Salem Media Group, Inc announced that Salem Radio Network has signed an agreement with Charlie Kirk to host a daily three hour talk radio program to begin on Monday, October 5 th , live from noon to 3pm ET.
