We thank Lake County resident Jim Weber for sending this article to us. Jim’s idea is to use QR (quick response) codes as a means of getting vast amounts of information to the public in a reduced space.

To read a document, or watch a video you simply use your phone to scan the QR code with your camera.

This could be the format that is used in the future to get information to the public rather than newsprint.
