Lt. Col. Allen West, U.S. Army retired, will be speaking at the Veterans Day ceremony in Chardon on Sunday, Nov. 11.

Col. West is a highly decorated officer and combat veteran who also is a well-known political commentator and former member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Florida’s 22nd congressional district.

In Congress, Col. West served on the Armed Services and Small Business committees and was a high-profile member of the Tea Party Caucus and the Tea Party movement.

The Veterans Day ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. at the Chardon Courthouse on Chardon Square.
