Lakeland Community College Selects New President

By Brian Massie, A Watchman on the Wall

At the recent Lakeland Community College Board of Trustee meeting, we had the opportunity to ask them about the current status of the Holden College building and the State of Ohio’s report on the financial condition of Lakeland.

In the attached video, Ms. Ellen Kessler, Chair, answered our questions. This is a departure from other public meetings where the public asks questions. Usually, the questions are answered at the following meeting, or not at all, as is the case at Riverside School District Board meetings. Ms. Kessler’s leadership is a refreshing change, and I could sense a renewed energy with this Board of Trustees.

The Board is reviewing options with the recently vacated Holden College building, and the State of Ohio will be issuing a management report letter some time in April.

Ms. Kessler was pleased to announce the selection of Dr. Sunil Ahuja as the new, sixth President of Lakeland Community College.

This link will give you details about Dr. Sunil Ahuja qualifications and his resume.
