After asking some questions on the status of the proposed new Riverside school in Concord Township, a source told me this:
“The School District has, or will shortly, post information on the expected additional taxpayer costs, if the Madison Ave. and Concord schools cannot be built at the same time.”
“Also, as an FYI, Painesville Township did give the District a Conditional Use Permit on Monday. As the two schools will be virtually identical (mirror images of each other), this will be important for the court to consider.”
(Comment: I am not sure if this is a negotiating tactic or not, but this debacle must have consequences to someone or some group. Perhaps the answer is to void the levy that passed, give the taxpayers back their money, and try again with truth and transparency.)
