This post is based on another warning from Sarah Fowler, District 7 State Representative to Ohio’s Board of Education.   Did you ever hear of “Social and Emotional Learning in Ohio?  How about “Social-Psychological Interventions”?

From the Ohio Department of Education website here is how they describe this “new and innovative” teaching approach:  “SEL is the process through which children and adults acquire and effectively apply the knowledge, attitudes and skills necessary to understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships and make responsible decisions.”  (Comment: Call me old fashion, but back in the day that was the responsibility of the parents.)

You may ask “Well, what is wrong with teachers defining how the students should react and feel about a given subject?”……..Take a look at this article on “Social-Psychological Interventions”, and ask yourself if it acceptable that children are used in experimentation of “thought and behavior  control” without their consent.  The data that is collected on the students are currently sold to marketing companies.

(Comment: Evil works in incremental steps.  What if the schools, in the not to distant future, used testing to determine the educational path of the student.  The education would be completely paid for, but only if the student  chose the career that the government, or the Chamber of Commerce, decided that is what the marketplace needed.  The concept of general education would be eliminated, and freedom of choice would be a distant memory.  It would be a true Orwellian society.)
