Lobbyists for Citizens is an apolitical, grassroots citizens’ group, registered with the State of Ohio as a 501 (C) (4) Domestic Non-Profit Corporation. Our primary mission is to ensure that all Lake County, Ohio officials are honest, transparent, and operate with integrity in the execution of their duties; that all political sub-divisions are good stewards of the taxpayers’ money, and that they are accountable to Lake County citizens. We will never accept lies, deceptions or betrayals by any political official or bureaucrat, regardless of their political party affiliation.
On the local level, we are extremely concerned that our ever-increasing real estate taxes will start to price many of our seniors, and others living on fixed incomes out of their homes that they have worked all their lives to achieve. Our seniors deserve our respect, are entitled to live in a safe community, and must have the security to know that they will not be forced out of their homes because they cannot pay their real estate taxes. We believe that they should be a “protected class”, and we will fight for their rights!
In addition, we are extremely concerned that the growth of the Lake County public sector is outpacing the private sector’s ability to continue to pay for their services.
On the state and national level, we firmly believe that the United States is a constitutional Republic, a nation of laws, and a sovereign nation, The first amendment to the U.S. Constitution is sacrosanct in preserving the individual rights and liberties of the U.S. citizens. The freedom of religion, speech, press, to peaceably assemble, and the right to petition our government for any redress of grievances are paramount for a free society.
We believe in the principles of the assumption of innocence until proven guilty, property rights, and the right to the protection of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness for ALL human beings.
Any public official, regardless of political affiliation, that acts counter to these basic principles by wielding the power of their office for personal enrichment to the detriment of the citizens, either by their words or actions, will be exposed to the general public with documentation of their words or actions.
LFC will not endorse any specific candidate running for elected office. However, we will only support nominees to any appointed position that believe in the sovereignty of the United States, the U.S. Constitution, the rule of law, and are against abortion.
We believe that we are not only in a cultural war, but a spiritual war as well. This spiritual war has manifested into the basic good versus evil – God versus No God. We will never accept the idea that socialism or communism should prevail in the United States or the world.
We will never endorse a candidate for any public office, and we will provide a platform for all candidates, regardless of political party, that contact us to get their message across to the voters. Any assistance we provide a candidate is simply a service to the citizens, and meets our mission of promoting the common good, and general welfare of the people of the community.
We will follow the Biblical principles of being kind, tolerant, patient and never bearing false witness against other human beings, but we will NEVER BE SILENT!
