It’s a Matter of Life

“It’s A Matter Of Life…”

In discussions about Roe vs Wade, the pro-life position is often dismissed with the words, “It’s the law.” – case closed – no need for more words.

Under our law, for the child in utero, its very personhood and existential status, its chance for moral consideration, depends upon nothing intrinsic to the child.

“Justice” is commonly defined as “getting what we deserve”. The decision to kill the developing baby is not based on anything the child did.

Under our “system of justice” (which allows abortion at all stages of pregnancy), the fate of the child is solely dependent upon the whim of the mother.

An optimally, a just society would ensure the fair and equitable treatment of all individuals under the law including the unborn.

Our society today would not qualify as even approaching being optimally just.
