Parents and Guardians: You Have A Right to Opt-Out
| As a parent and/or legal guardian of a minor child, you have a right under the Protection of Pupil Rights Amendment, the U.S. Constitution, and the Constitution and laws of the State of Ohio, to direct the upbringing and education of your minor child. As the new school year begins, now is the time to notify school administrators and put them on notice, that you do not consent to your child’s participation in any instruction or discussion of divisive or inappropriate concepts. Click on this link to download our 2021-2022 school year Opt-Out Forms. Execute the forms and email them to your school principal. Always remember to get everything in writing from your school. By submitting the opt-out forms you are also requesting alternative academic instruction for your child during the same period that any instruction on any aspect regarding above is provided or presented. Additionally, you are requesting that the notification be placed in your child’s permanent file and be provided to all people offering instruction to your child during the school year. |
