Boycott Giant Eagle…updated July 20, 2022

It is time to start calling out companies that believe in killing babies.

We will no longer be shopping at Giant Eagle.

BOYCOTT GIANT EAGLE 

AND ANY MERCHANTS PAYING FOR THEIR EMPLOYEES’ OUT-OF-STATE ABORTIONS!

Giant Eagle is one of a growing list of employers that have pledged to pay for their employees to travel out-of-state to have abortions. Below is Giant Eagle’s statement in defense of their policy.

“At Giant Eagle, we believe that access to safe, healthy food and medicine is an essential human right. We understand that the Supreme Court ruling to overturn Roe v. Wade and allow states to set their own abortion laws may impede our Team Members’ ability to access safe, legal healthcare. We remain steadfast in our commitment to provide comprehensive healthcare, including benefits related to family planning and reproductive care. We join other businesses by committing to reimburse expenses for Team Members to travel between states to access the nearest family planning services. At this important moment, it’s imperative that our Team Members know we stand with them and their right to safe healthcare options.”

It is ironic that they use the word “family” several times in their response. Abortion does not build a family! Abortion is violence, not healthcare! Giant Eagle employees deserve better than abortion.

There is some good news, however. We just learned that the owners of the Giant Eagle stores in Geneva and Saybrook have told the local Knights of Columbus representatives that they (above-mentioned local Giant Eagle owners) are not required by the company to fund the out-of-state travel expenses from abortion-seeking employees, and therefore, they won’t.

This means we can make a difference! We can take action! Click this link https://shop.gianteagle.com/contact-us and tell Giant Eagle that you will be boycotting their stores unless they reverse this horrendous policy. You can copy the sample letter below or use your own wording if you so choose.

My name is ____________, and I live in __________, Ohio. I have been a loyal Giant Eagle customer for ___ years. I recently read with dismay an announcement that you will pay abortion travel costs for employees. I give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you and your board are just bowing to “woke” pressure and that you have not taken the time to consider the horrific procedure called abortion. The child inside a mother’s womb is the most precious gift God allows; the little baby has a separate DNA from Mom; it is a living human being.

Unless you change your position on your horrific decision, I will spend my hard-earned money at other grocery stores that have the sense to stay out of this issue.
