Willoughby Hills Needs to Change its Motto

By Brian Massie, A Watchman on the Wall

We published the following article about the disturbing changes in Willoughby Hills on August 23, 2023.

“Our motto “Where the City Meets the Country” means we strive to preserve our “rural atmosphere” while still meeting the needs of a growing suburban community. Willoughby Hills encompasses nearly eleven square miles, through which the Chagrin River has carved a scenic valley to the east.”[Willoughby Hills website]

The city leaders have ramped up their dystopian views by installing cameras to “catch speeders”, There is no word on whether they are capturing facial recognition. Unfortunately, in our opinion, it is only a matter of time, and a change in the software.

In light of the surveillance state approved by Mayor Gardner and Council President, Chris Hallum, Lake County’s Willoughby Hills may have to change their motto to:

We know who you are, and we know where you live!

You may never be able to escape the clutches of the Willoughby Hills leaders. By the way, do not ask about the Grange.
