Lake County ADAMHS Board renewal levy passes

Lake County ADAMHS Board renewal levy passes

Mentor, OH: Issue 10, the 0.9-mill renewal levy supporting the services of the Lake County Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) Board has been renewed. This levy, which was first approved by Lake County voters in 1976, was last renewed in 2015 and generated $5.48 million in 2024, according to county budget estimates. This funding accounts for 30% of the ADAMHS Board’s annual budget.

This renewal is not a new tax proposal; it continues the same level of support that has been consistently approved by the voters. The Lake County ADAMHS Board and its provider agencies are deeply grateful to the community for their unwavering support throughout the years. Your vote to renew this levy ensures that vital services will continue to reach those in need. It is your commitment that allows us to help improve lives, foster recovery, and make Lake County a healthier place for all.

The renewed levy will take effect in January 2026 and will remain in place for 10 years, providing stability and continued care for the many residents who depend on our services.

Kimberly Fraser, Executive Director of the Lake County ADAMHS Board, expressed her heartfelt appreciation following the election: “These services have a proven record of saving and improving the lives of residents. We are incredibly thankful for the trust Lake Countians have placed in this board and for your belief in our mission.” She added, “We understand that taxes and fees are a concern for many in our community, and we want to assure you that these funds will be used responsibly to support those living with mental illness or substance use disorders.”

To everyone who supported Issue 10, we extend our deepest gratitude. Your support means so much to us, and we look forward to continuing our work together for the betterment of our community.
