A Geauga resident sent the following message regarding her property taxes to us. I wanted to share it with everyone.
Can I share my thoughts?
Natural Disasters & Property Taxes
Recently, I have watched two series on natural disasters.
1. 2004 Indonesia Sunami
2. 2005 New Orleans hurricane Katrina
Started me thinking, how it feels to loose everything.
I watched these programs with so much sadness for people who instantly loose everything, family, friends, homes due to an epic natural disaster. I am glued to the tv watching interviews of survivors explaining their experience then and now.
I can relate; the slow roll of government forcing me out of my home and loosing everything is a man made disaster. I am not sure I can ever recover from this unnecessary heartache.
Victims of government mismanagement during Katrina, sounds exactly like our current experience, property taxed out of our homes.
Next step…sell my home, get a small amount of money, move in with my mother, pray we can survive. When she is gone, I cannot sustain the bills. After that, I have to move again?? Where am I going to go?
This is very real.
My Dad helped buy this family property for the next generations to grow and prosper. We are drastically going backwards.
My county, Geauga, currently is rolling out the onslaught of costly, septic rules, laws, and standards demanding compliance or else the full weight of fines, penalties, law enforcement will, by law, add to our property taxed bill.
Who is standing up for us?
Eliminate their power to take our property!!
