December 4, 2020 Painesville, Ohio: Please be advised that the Lake County Recorder Public Records Rooms, located at 105 Main Street, Painesville, Ohio are OPEN.
In accordance with State Legislative (HB 197), Local Health Department and Board of Commissioner Directives, although the Lake County Recorder Public Records Rooms are open, the building is limited for general public access at this time.
Please note that visitors to Public Records areas will be expected to keep facial coverings on after entering at the county administration building main entrance. Recorder Staff is working on-site and customers are asked to follow the temporary guidelines. Public area surfaces are sanitized regularly.
Filing by eRecording, utilizing the Recorder Drop Boxes or U.S. Mail are encouraged. Please access Recorder Services On-Line at www.LakeCountyOhioRecorder.com.
We will continue to review procedures and post updates. Also note that in addition to bringing back the Recorder drop-box at the main entrance foyer area, there is a Recorder In-Box and Out-Box located on the counter in the Recorder Lobby. Please try to limit on-site business and use remote services, drop boxes and mail where possible.
During these renewed health concerns and Lake County’s ‘purple status’ the county buildings have been limited for general public access, but operations are ongoing and appointments can be scheduled with the appropriate department/s.
