We have noticed Eastlake’s Mayor Dennis Morley attending the Lake County Commissioners meeting lately. And that has paid off handsomely for the residents of the City of Eastlake.
On Thursday, April 14, 2022 the three Lake County Commissioners awarded the City of Eastlake $3.6 million of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA) funds. This will cover Clubhouse and Field Renovations for their minor league baseball team, known as the Captains.
When you add the $700,000 that the Commissioners awarded previously to the City of Eastlake to replace the lights at the Captains stadium, the City of Eastlake has received $4.3 million (19.5%) of the $22 million that the County received in 2021.
Yes indeed, Mayor Morley hit a homerun with his lobbying efforts.
