Council on Aging March for Meals Fundraiser Was a Huge Success

By Brian Massie, A Watchman on the Wall

Congratulations to Mr. Joey Tomsick, CEO of Lake County Council on Aging for a very successful “March for Meals” fundraiser. Now all we need is the Lake County Senior levy board to do their part and increase the funding for the Council on Aging’s Meals on Wheels program. Laketran’s Ben Capelle announced that they have relinquished their $50,000 share from the Senior Levy. We thank Mr. Capelle for acknowledging that their $60+ million in cash reserves are more than enough to meet their operational needs.

As a side note, we plan to dig into the revenue generated by the Senior Services Levy. Stay tuned.

We were happy to participate in this year’s Lake County Council on Aging’s Fundraiser at the Great Lakes Mall. We livestreamed it on Ohio Political News’s Rumble account, and recorded it as well so that we could create the following video.
