Subject Real Estate Taxes
Message Would you be willing to meet with our group to discuss the unconstitutional use of real estate taxes as the primary method of funding Ohio schools?

We saw that you publicly expressed some concern on this issue, and we would like to explore how we can help to bring about change. We are very concerned that we are pricing seniors and those on fixed incomes out of their homes.

Thank you,

Here is Mr. Rogers’ response: (Comment: why am I not surprised)

Thank you for contacting my office at the Ohio Statehouse here in Columbus.  Due to the high volume of emails our office receives, we give priority to our constituents in the 60th House District ( including the communities of Eastlake, Fairport Harbor, Grand River, Lakeline, Mentor (Ward Four), Mentor-on-the-Lake, Painesville, Parts of Painesville Twp.,  Timberlake, Wickliffe, Willoughby, and Willowick.) For this reason, it is important that you include your full name, home mailing address, and daytime telephone number in your correspondence.

If you would like to check who your State Representative is or find other helpful information, please visit the Ohio House website at www.ohiohouse.gov or the State of Ohio website at www.ohio.gov.

If you are using a third party, or “form letter” to let me know your opinion on legislation and issues, thank you for taking time to share your views. I will keep your thoughts in mind when making a decision.

If you would like to inquire about the status of a specific bill, please contact the Ohio Legislative Service Commission at (800)282-0253 or www.legislature.state.oh.us.

If you included your contact information in your initial email, thank you. If you did not include your contact information, please feel free resend it to Rep60@ohiohouse.gov

If this is a time sensitive issue regarding public assistance or resolving a bureaucratic discrepancy (unemployment, disability, workers’ comp, food stamps, etc.), please contact our office directly at 614.466.7251

Please be advised that our office is severely limited, and in most cases prohibited, from intervening in legal matters before the judicial system. I highly recommend you contact a lawyer for any legal assistance. You may obtain a referral from the Lake County Bar Association at (440) 350-5800 or you can contact the Legal Aid Society at (888) 817-3777
