Planned Parenthood (PP) and NARAL are in full campaign mode now.
Just this week, Planned Parenthood officially named political operative Alexis McGill Johnson as their new permanent CEO. McGill, a self-identified “social and racial justice activist” was lauded by PP in their tweet , which did get some push-back.
Meanwhile in Ohio, the pro-abortion political fundraising machine EMILY’S List just named Ohio House minority leader Rep. Emilia Sykes of Akron as the 2020 Gabrielle Giffords Rising Star award winner.
One of their reasons for the award: “As co-chair of the Legislative Task Force on Redistricting, Reapportionment, and Demographic Research, Emilia will hold officials accountable and ensure a fair redistricting process in 2021.” It’s all about who gets to draw the political lines to set future elections.

EMILY’s List is an American political action committee that aims to help elect Democratic female candidates in favor of abortion rights to office. It was founded by Ellen Malcolm in 1985.
