Brandon Towns disrespecting White Christians at Mentor School Board Meeting…updated 10/15/22

This is an excerpt of the video taken by the Mentor School Board at their October 11, 2022 meeting. The speaker is Mr. Brandon Towns.

This is the first of several articles we will publish dealing with Mr. Towns, and his friends on the School Board and in the Mentor Administration. Sorry, Mr. Towns but the only “White Flight” that will happen in Mentor, will be the Christian taxpayers that will vote down EVERY future tax levy for Mentor Public Schools. Your hatred and bigotry toward people that do not share your values will be exposed for all of Lake County to witness.

The following is a transcript of what Mr. Towns said to the School Board. We tried our best to capture ever word exactly, but Mr. Towns does not articulate his words very well, so there are some “inaudible” sections.

Ah, good evening…Brandon Towns…(inaudible)

First, I want to say thank you…ah…have we not heard enough of this…last time I listed the white lash we have been accustomed to and I’m going to move to the white flight that the time we saw around Brown…ah…and I feel that we have to be willing to suffer that loss again…ah…white flight, white families left urban environment for suburbia.

Now we have to be willing to suffer the loss of white nationalists Christians even if that means they leave our schools. ..umm…because we have to make the statement that hatred and bigotry are not accepted here.

Umm…So…with that being said…I ask the board to continue to be vigilante…umm…to do what we can to put an end to the nagging complaints that are incessant and ignorant…umm…be that by enforcing the policies that we currently have, or creating policies to do just that…umm.

When folks exceed their time, can we cut off the mic? When people don’t follow the rules that are set, and we have law enforcement here, respectfully, can we ask them to escort them out?

Jesus flip[ped] the table or two…we can do the same, metaphorically, and I ask that we do…umm…

I promise you; we have your back. We are not going to let them vote you out. They are a vocal minority, and we will show that. And we have shown that. And that’s why continue to not give what they want. And that’s why we should (inaudible) and we have to be willing to accept the white flight that is ensuing.

And the last thing I’ll say…umm…as the peanut gallery continues to talk while I’m talking…umm…is that in 1954 Brown versus Board of Education…uhh..there many that stood on the wrong side to perpetuate and protected racism and bigotry. Now I know that you won’t do that, but I know that there are many who may. And they think that their faith compels them, but I assure you it doesn’t because if there is a God, She would not stand with you. And if she had a Son named Jesus it would be your self-righteousness that crucifies Him, not anything else.
