Brian Massie, Citizen Journalist
I have written several articles on the election integrity issue in Lake County. I cannot speak about any other County in Ohio, or any other State in the Union. It was this issue that caused me to be interrogated by four F.B.I. agents.
The current issue deals with the “red seal” that was found by a Lake County citizen in their driveway. How the seal got there is unknown at this time. The citizen contacted LFC and asked if we could determine if this seal belonged to the Lake County Board of Election.
We sent an email to Mr. Ross McDonald, Director of the Lake County Board of Elections and asked if this seal was part of the Lake County Board of Elections election security system. Here is Mr. McDonald’s response to us:
“That is not the type of seal we use. Accordingly, I confirm that the seal in the attached image did not belong to the Lake County Board of Elections.”
“I would suggest asking the myriad of other entities who utilize zip-tie style security seals. County Sheriff, local law enforcement, trucking and delivery services, etc.”
Godspeed in your investigation.
Ross McDonald │Director
Here is our response to Mr. McDonald:
Thank you Ross…I will pass this along to the citizens of Lake County.
Good luck with the November 8th elections. We have our precinct covered…
Thanks to all of your staff for their hard work pulling this election together.
I understand and appreciate the effort it takes to make our elections secure and operating smoothly. It is really a team effort of elected officials, employees and dedicated citizens.

Here is the article that we wrote in the Fall of 2021 about our research, and our findings on the Lake County elections in 2020.
“We, therefore, would like to tell the Lake County Commissioners and the citizens of Lake County that we found NO voter or election fraud issues in the last (2020) election.”
We salute the hard-working, dedicated employees and Board Members of the Lake County Board of Elections, and the hundreds of citizens that give their time as poll workers on a very long day from 5:30 am to 8:00 pm.
Remember to vote on November 8th…thousands have given their lives and been disabled to ensure we have the right to vote.
