Lake County’s American Legion and VFW Posts held a Memorial Day services at the Riverside and Evergreen cemeteries on May 29, 2023.
We are pleased to provide videos that memorialize the very fine, touching tributes honoring the U.S. military personnel who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.
We thank the Riverside Marching Band for their amazing performance. They were simply AWESOME!

Michael Swank, of the Lake County’s Men of Honor Social Club, and his son Carter did some amazing historical research to find three Civil War veterans that were laid to rest in unmarked graves in the Evergreen Cemetery. During the Memorial Day services, Michael reveals the history of each soldier, and how he was able to get headstones for each of them.
