Mentor, OH: Heroes are more than what we see on the big screen or action figures in a toy bin. Behavioral Health Heroes assist and guide those in crisis to safety from harming themselves or others around them. The Lake County Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health (ADAMHS) Board honored heroes in their field of behavioral health field by surprising them at their place of employment with a prize package from their community partner the Lake County Captains. The heroes were shocked and excited to be acknowledged by their peers. Their package included a certificate of appreciation, Captains team gear and free tickets to a Lake County Captains game. Prior to the game these heroes were honored and cheered on by co-workers, family and friends on the field.
