And the Winner is…The Lake County Democrat Party

By Brian Massie, A Watchman on the Wall

The October 3, 2024 Lake County Commissioners may go down in history as the turning point in Lake County. The ongoing feud between Commissioner Plecnik and Hamercheck came to a boiling point. Commissioner Plecnik rounded up his acolytes and they proceeded to lambaste Commissioner Hamercheck during the public comments.

Plecnik had garnered support from Matt Hebebrand, Brian Kolkowski, and Democrat Lyndsey Wall. Morris Beverage lll, candidate for Commissioner Hamercheck’s seat in November was in the audience. Beverage, an alleged Republican, was a donor to the Lyndsey Wall campaign for Mentor School Board.

Former Commissioner and State Representative Ron Young, and I spoke up on behalf of Commissioner Hamercheck. Patent Attorney and Republican, Brian Kolkowski, in his standard wait until everyone has spoken routine, spoke after me and made a spurious allegation that I may be involved in the May 4, 2021 incident. I surmise that he thinks that his public records requests will finally out Brian Massie for the “dastardly deeds perpetrated to the detriment of Lake County citizens”. Watch the end of the Kolkowksi video for my response to Wall and Kolkowski. You may also want to listen to my statements in the video below about possibly exposing all of Lake County officials.

Commissioner Rich Regovich read a statement admonishing the two Commissioners for their conduct. I was told the statement was written for him.

The Lake County Democrat Party and certain Willoughby Hills officials must be loving this whole ordeal. Oh, what a tangled web we weave….All of this is so unfair to Commissioner Hamercheck. It is true that “No good deed goes unpunished!”
