Lake County’s Amy Sabath
We discovered that the former Lakeland Community College’s Director of Government Relations and Executive Assistant to the President, Ms. Amy Sabath, has filed a wrongful termination lawsuit against the College.
Here are the recent July 1, 2025 filings we found on the Lake County Clerk of Courts’ website:
We noticed that Judge John P. O’Donnell has been given this case, and a jury trial has been demanded.
It appears that Ms. Sabath is alleging that she was terminated on June 28, 2024 without proper notice. Defendant (LCC) did not provide Plaintiff (Sabath) with the notice of termination by March 15th, 2024, and therefore, she is entitled to employment for the subsequent fiscal year.
Item #34 says that she has suffered damages in excess of $25,000 plus interest, including pre-judgement interest, and attorney’s fees. We are curious as to how much she and her attorney will seek in compensation.
Stay tuned…we will be filing a public records request with the College.
