St. Casimir Parishioners Rejoice as this will be the 14th year of celebrating Christmas since the miracle of the reopening of the church.
All are welcome to celebrate the Birthday of Christ at Polish St. Historic Casimir Church. St. Casimir Church is located at 8223 Sowinski Ave. in Cleveland.
The Christmas mass schedule will be 10 pm on Christmas Eve with music starting at 9:30pm. Christmas Day mass will be at 11:30 pm. There is plenty of parking with the Cleveland Police watching over us.
This will mark the 14th year of celebrating Christmas since what many parishioners believe was a miracle to re-open the church in 2012. People from all over Cleveland prayed outside the locked gates for 2 1/2 years.
“The miracle happened, said John Niedzialek, Parish Council member and even more miracles have happened since the re-opening. The church belongs to everyone in Cleveland.”
Tours are available by contacting John Niedzialek as well as the stories of the other miracles at the church.
Per Polish tradition, decorations will be up throughout January with weekly Sunday masses celebrated at 11:30am. As Pastor Father Eric Orzech mentioned in a recent homily, “Christmas does not end after December 25th, it is just the beginning of the Blessed Season.” There will be Polish dinners as well after some of the masses.
