When I heard about the Concord Trustees signing a resolution to not support the abolishment of Ohio property taxes, I, reluctantly, came to the conclusion that our 250 year experiment as a constitutional republic with a “representative democracy” has come to an end.
Former Lake County Commissioner and State Representative Ron Young’s statements that the two top priorities of government is to protect itself and to grow; and the two top priorities of any elected official is to protect themselves and get re-elected is absolutely spot on.
These Trustees do not believe that private property ownership is the foundation of our freedom and liberty. They have violated their oath of office to support and defend the Ohio Constitution. They have hopped on the socialists’ train, and do not care if seniors get priced out of their home. They will continue to fear monger that local services will be terminated, when they know that they can send out invoices to residents for local services rendered.
They will have to live with their decision, but we promise that we will continue to remind Concord Township’s residents of their decisions.
It appears that the Township is so strapped for cash they could not take a picture of the newly appointed Trustee.

Unfortunately, the Concord Trustees have turned their collective backs to the seniors that they are supposed to represent.
