How Can We Protect Ourselves, Our Families and Our Property

[LFC Comments: With the increasing violence in cities shown on television, and the protests in Northeast Ohio to date, we have been discussing with taxpayers how can they can protect themselves. With the upcoming election, it is obvious to us that the violence will continue to escalate and will be moving to the suburbs. People want to know how they can protect themselves, their families and property without running afoul of the law.

We decided to reach out to the two top law enforcement officials in Lake County, and sent them the following email.

For anyone reading this article, if you have questions that you would like us to ask the officials, please add your questions to the comment section, or you can email us at lobbyistsforcitizens@gmail.com. The identity of the person asking the questions will be kept in strict confidence.]

Email to:

Sheriff Leonbruno and Mr. Coulson:

With anarchists in our urban cities and moving to the suburbs to create chaos, the average citizens of Lake County are telling us that they are concerned about their safety.  We would like to have a meeting with  both the Lake County Sheriff and the Lake County Prosecutor to ask questions raised by the residents.

Lake County residents want to know what their options are in order to protect themselves, their families and their property?  For example, we want to try to avoid the situation where we try to protect our property, and we are the ones that are charged with a crime.  What do we do if accosted in a restaurant by a BLM supporter, as encouraged by Congresswoman Maxine Waters?  What are our responsibilities if we are ordered by the State into a FEMA center to quarantine because we contracted CoVid-19?  No doubt, there will be many more questions.

We will bring questions supplied to us by the Lake County residents, and we will publish a public service announcement on our website with all of the information provided by both of you.

Since you are both the top law enforcement officials in Lake County, we are asking for your help.  This is not a trivial matter to us.

We are available to meet at any time or place you deem appropriate.

Thank you,

Brian Massie
