URGENT!! MUST READ!
The Lake County Board of Elections plan to meet on Tuesday to appoint a new Deputy Director to replace retiring Deputy Director Jan Clair.
Jan Clair – Deputy Director Ross McDonald – Director
The appointee must be a Republican because Director Ross McDonald is a Democrat. Jan Clair and Ross McDonald look to have hand-picked a 29 year old clerk from Democrat Mahoning County named Dante Lewis who Jan Clair introduced as her choice at the Lake County Republican picnic last week.
Is promoting a possible appointee to the Board of Elections at a partisan event like that even legal? Is this trying to get Republicans to become sheep and go along with a scheme to destroy themselves?
With all the concerns of voter fraud by Democrats, should Lake County’s Democrat Director be overseen by an inexperienced youngster picked as part of a backroom deal, or someone actually capable of holding him accountable and ensuring election integrity?
Keep in mind, Lake County is also in the process of switching to new voting machines. Democrats know they can’t win in Lake County if elections are fair. Is the fix in? Are the Republican members of the Board of Elections going to roll over and allow this to happen?
