We decided to match the grades received by each Lake County school district against the District’s revenue as provided by the State of Ohio’s Cupp reports for 2017.  We have displayed the total revenue received (Local, State and Federal funds) and the average spend per pupil.

On the website for each school there are grades listed for many different categories, but we chose to show the overall grade listed for the “Achievement” category. This category lists the number of students who passed the State of Ohio tests and how well they performed on them. (Note: simply highlight the URL for the website and select the option to go to the website. It may take a few seconds to load because of the quantity of information being displayed.)

(Comment: Citizens of Lake County – we have a major problem in our public schools.  We cannot accept the fact that we spent $411,912,370  ($13,369 on average per child) to  educate our children and the results show a grade of D.   We currently spend 68% of the real estate taxes on public schools, and we are continually being asked for more money, and for all of our troubles we get a D.)
