Commissioner Ron Young tells us what he has learned

Written by: Brian Massie, Executive Director

As we observe what is happening in Lake County, we are very concerned about the consolidation of power in the hands of a few individuals.

Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men, even when they exercise influence and not authority, still more when you superadd the tendency or the certainty of corruption by authority.”…John Emerich Edward Dalberg-Acton

Commissioner Ron Young pulls back the curtain on government and politicians.

Watch and listen to this short video of Lake County Commissioner Ron Young sharing with everyone what he has learned about government and politicians from the many years as a State Representative and Commissioner. He could not be more honest.

From the Lake County Board of Elections, we found the following statistics on the registered voters of Lake County:

Total Registered Voters as of April 21, 2022: 160,761

  • No Affiliation with a Party 121,732 75.7%
  • Democrat 20,414 12.7%
  • Republican 18,498 11.5%
  • Libertarian 117 .1%

It is interesting to us that 24.3% of the registered voters declare a party affiliation, but a strong majority of the Lake County voters (75.7%) want nothing to do with a political party. And the parties are quite satisfied with that.

Do not believe the political flyers that you are receiving in the mail, asking for you to vote for this or that person. They may claim to be independent and not beholding to the “party bosses”, but they are all registered to either the Democrat or Republican Party, and they cannot truly be independent.
