Kohl’s Promotes Sexual Grooming of Children via Charity

By Karen England of Capitol Resource Institute

Kohl’s Cares, the charitable arm of national department store chain Kohl’s, is promoting and selling a children’s book containing images and ideas that encourage children to believe sharing public spaces with nude adults is normal and fun. The book, written for 3+ year olds, is called “The Rainbow Parade.”

In it everything from bondage gear to full nudity teaches children that it’s loving and joyful to be around naked adults with sexual fetishes. In one illustration, a naked man with balloons tied to his genitals aims to condition children to associate the common childhood toy with adult genitals.

Kohl’s’ website says: “Kohl’s is committed to helping communities thrive. That’s why 100% of the net profit from the sale of Kohl’s Cares Goods for Good books and toys goes to initiatives that support the well-being of families.”

“The ‘well-being of families’ doesn’t include adults with sexual fixation parading naked in front of children,” says Karen England of the non-profit Take Back the Classroom. “For Kohl’s to support grooming children to think this is acceptable is abhorrent. Children are being set up to think sex is normal from birth, and the danger to their innocence is immeasurable. When children are groomed, half a predator’s work is already done for them, and children become victims far more easily.”

In a parade scene, the book teaches children, “Everyone is wearing whatever makes them feel most like themselves. Even if that means wearing hardly anything at all.”

As recently reported by the New York Post, a school board meeting in upstate New York erupted into chaos when parents demanded the book be removed from their schools. Critics say parents like these are trying to “ban” books because of transphobia and homophobia. But as England explains, “The vast majority of the pervasively vulgar books geared to kids have no homosexuality or transgenderism in them at all. Most involve heterosexual sexual violence, rape, incest, and graphic erotica. No matter who the characters are in a book, Kohl’s should be ashamed to be proudly participating in the sexualization of America’s children.”
