Geauga County’s Skip Claypool has been leading the charge for many years to have Lake and Geauga Counties leave the existing NOACA and form their own Metropolitan Planning Organization. It appears that Cuyahoga County and the City of Cleveland are controlling NOACA, and they do not share the same interests or priorities as the surrounding counties.
Here are the two latest projects planned for Cleveland. The phrase that tells us that NOACA is a left-leaning organization can be found in their study objectives:
“Adhere to principles of environmental justice, equity, and inclusion.”
We hope that our current Lake County Commissioners would reassess if it is in our County’s best interest to remain in NOACA, or should we join forces with the other surrounding counties that better represent the values of the majority of our citizens.

We ask the Commissioners what is in the best interests of the Lake County citizens?
TO LEAVE OR NOT TO LEAVE THAT IS THE QUESTION?
You will be known by the company you keep.
