Citizen’s Input On The W-E Income Tax Levy

By Lake County Patriot

This is like a game.

The Commissioners reduce property taxes for homeowners.

The Willoughby-Eastlake (W-E) School Board approved placing a 1.5% earned income tax levy on the May 5, 2026, ballot, but voters officially rejected the measure during the May primary election. Oh maybe the voters will approve .75%.

Now they plan a .75% EIT levy
WILLOUGHBY EASTLAKE SCHOOL BOARD VOTED 5-0 TO PLACE A PERMANENT .75% EARNED INCOME TAX LEVY ON THE BALLOT IN NOVEMBER VOTING

Commissioners, what is your next move?

My move is to become The Citizen who learned to say NO

(LFC editorial comment: it remains to be seen if the Commissioners will extend the increased homestead exemption and the owner occupancy credit. There will be a vote in June. Commissioner McIntosh is running for Commissioner in November, so this is a crucial vote for him. Is he really a man the citizens can count on?)
