There is a political alarm that is sounding in the country, and it is the alarm of Democratic Socialism. Reckless immigration policy in recent years has created a monster. Islamists, as well as members of the hard left, are running as Democratic Socialists. Their goal is to deconstruct the Constitution of the United States of America. Democratic Socialists who have been winning elections in the primaries and have won the mayoral race in New York City with Zohran Mamdani, are bringing third world politics to the shores of America. They admittedly announce that their goal is to eliminate the U.S. Senate, the Electoral College, to expand the Supreme Court, and even to eliminate the Presidency. This is a direct threat to our Constitutional form of government. President Trump’s election was an opportunity to put at bay the efforts of the radical political left. The clock was ticking from the moment he took office on January 20, 2025, nineteen months ago.
The President is doing all he can to address issues of affordability that are a concern to the younger generation – the financial ability to buy an affordable car, buy a home, have a living wage, and bringing manufacturing back to America. The President has had some setbacks with his tariff policy, as the U.S. Supreme Court struck down his tariffs.
We are $39 trillion in debt, and as one young conservative told me recently, the debt was $34 trillion when President Trump took office. The young man said, “It is now $39 trillion. This is everyone’s problem.”
The mid-terms of 2026 are slated to be the most difficult mid-terms in many years. To avoid a political wipeout of conservatives, it is going to take all our reserves to throw into the line to mitigate an all-out disaster. This is not the time for Christian conservatives to sit out. If the political left wins both House and Senate, impeachment proceedings will commence immediately on day one. President Trump and his Administration will be under siege by the political left. We can’t let that happen, and there is something we can do about it.
The Ohio Christian Alliance has produced important educational voter guides and information for people of faith for the past 25 years.
We have printed and distributed over 11 million voter guides over that period since 2004. Things have changed over the years. Our material is mostly shared electronically, and this year we are launching a new website with a new, improved, easy to read, user friendly Voter Guide. The new website will be launched by September 15th. We will have some printed bulletin inserts for churches and a downloadable bulletin insert for churches to utilize with a QR code that will take people to the online viewable voter guide.
The polling on the Governor’s race is neck and neck. The polling on the U.S. Senate race has Senator Jon Husted just slightly leading former Senator Sherrod Brown.
Congressional races in Ohio are close. Republicans could either win two or possibly lose two. But there is hope on the horizon…
