Willoughby – Eastlake’s Grant Elementary School Letter to Taxpayers

By Brian Massie, A Watchman on the Wall

The following letter was sent to Willoughby-Eastlake taxpayers by Courtney Lausin, Principal of Grant Elementary School. It tries to explain what the proposed earned income tax levy on the November 2026 ballot means for the school district.

Here is the email that I received from the over-taxed citizen reflecting on the letter sent by the principal:

“As an aside, strange how the principal doesn’t put the date on the letter. Must be a graduate of the WE schools.”

“What I got from the letter?  Don’t vote for this and we will cut staff, consolidate and make the schools your schools efficient!’  Thank you for your admitting this.”

Matthew 12:37
