Issues in 2018: State, School and other Districts, County, Municipal,Townships

1 STATE ISSUE 1 – PROPOSED CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT (COUNTYWIDE)
Creates a bipartisan, public process for drawing congressional districts.

2 WILLOUGHBY-EASTLAKE SCHOOLS (49 Precincts)
$7,585,000 (Est.4.71 Mills) Renewal Levy – Providing Emergency Requirements –
five years – commencing 2018 tax year

3. KIRTLAND LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICT (7 Precincts + GEAUGA)
$1,913,928 (Est. 5.9 Mills) Additional Levy – To Avoid an Operating Deficit –
ten years – commencing 2018 tax year

4. CHARDON LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICT (Concord Twp. B)
3.9 Mills Additional Levy – Current Expenses – continuing period of time – commencing 2018 tax year

5. LAKE COUNTY ADAMHS DISTRICT (COUNTYWIDE)
0.7 Mill Renewal Levy – Operating Mental Health and Alcohol and Drug Addiction Programs and the Acquisition, Construction, Renovation, Financing and Maintenance of Mental Health and Alcohol and Drug Addtiion Facilities Provided by ADAMHS District – for ten years – commencing 2018 tax year

6.  LAKE COUNTY CRIME LAB (COUNTYWIDE)
0.4 Additional Levy – Providing and Maintaining Police Equipment and Personnel –
continuing period of time – commencing 2018 tax year

7. WAITE HILL VILLAGE (1 Precincts)
Shall the Charter be amended to provide that the Village may, for five years commencing with tax year 2018, continue to levy the 6.2 mills tax for the provision of police, fire, EMS and public services, exclusive of any capital costs associated with housing the police department but inclusive of capital equipment needed for the provision of police, fire, EMS and other public services?

8. LEROY TOWNSHIP (2 Precincts)
2.5 Mills Additional Levy – Streets and Roads – five years – commencing 2018 tax year

9. WILLOWICK CITY (9 Precincts)
Proposed Charter Amendment: Shall Article VII entitled Civil Service Commission
(Section 7.3, Classification of Service), of the Charter of the City of Willowick, Ohio,
be amended to enable the Civil Service Commission to determine that no competitive
exam is required for the initial appointment of a part-time firefighter?

10.  Proposed Charter Amendment: Shall Article VII entitled Civil Service Commission
(Section 7.4, Duties) of the Charter of the City of Willowick, Ohio, be amended to enablethe City and the Civil Service Commission to exercise all powers of local self-government and home rule in all matters that relate to Civil Service appointments, promotions, demotions, hirings, terminations and all other personnel matters?
