Just when we hear that the economy is growing at 4.1%, and federal taxes are being reduced…..Yippee!
Then reality starts to creep into the world and we see what our local politicians and bureaucrats have in store for us on the November ballot. At some point in time, we expect taxpayers to start “storming the castles” with “torches and pitchforks” and say “No More! You are pricing us out of our homes that we have worked all our lives to achieve”.
If taxpayers are not concerned about losing their homes, we really do not know what it is going to take to get their “head out of the sand”, and start voicing concerns about our ever increasing local property taxes.
Here is a list of the issues that will be on the November ballot given to us by the Board of Elections. There still may be more added by the August 8th deadline. When the final list is determined, we will calculate what it will cost each taxing district if all the levies are passed by the taxpayers.
