Fairport Harbor Schools…..should they stay open?

When reviewing the State of Ohio report card website, we noticed an interesting statistic about Fairport Harbor schools.  Here is the link to the website:

This has to do with the school’s enrollment.  It appears that there are ~697 students in all of Fairport Harbor.  However, only 337 (48.3%) of the students actually attend the Fairport Harbor public schools.  It begs the question, is it financially feasible to maintain their public schools, or should they be merged with other school districts in Lake County?

In our opinion, if less than half of the children attend their local school it is saying something to the community.
