P.S.A. Two L.C. Political Sub-Divisions working together.

Our goal at Lobbyists for Citizens is to help the community and not to be constantly attacking our institutions.  When someone is acting in the best interests of the community, we will do whatever we can to help promote their efforts.  To that end, here is a public service announcement we received from the Port Authority.

Lake County Ohio Port & Economic Development  Authority and Lakeland Community College team up to find workforce solutions!

SUBJECT: What are your Engineering Technologies Workforce needs? Feedback Requested

Your company’s success depends upon the quality of your workforce. Lakeland Community College is conducting a survey to gauge your workforce needs — today and tomorrow. The Engineering Technologies Workforce Solutions Survey will explore the engineering and manufacturing skills required by manufacturers in Lake County. Your responses to this brief survey will help Lakeland in designing programming to support your workforce needs.

Please answer the 8- to 10-minute survey by clicking below:

Lakeland would greatly appreciate your feedback by March 15, 2019.

 Thank you.

  26. Thank you for your comment. Perhaps we can get other concerned citizens to weigh in on this issue. Both entities are using taxpayers’ money to survive.

  27. Well the two public entities could just be partnering up for survival. No one has been paying attention to the Port Authority or Lakeland Community College for far too long. Both entities spend money like there is no tomorrow and cannot seem to follow a budget. LCC is trying to get around the ORC do build dorms. The Port has no regard for the ORC either. For that matter neither does the Commissioners or Visitors Bureau. Does any government type in this town abide by the ORC? Frankly, I am not surprised that these two evil empires are joining forces. Nothing will change at either the Port or LCC until leadership changes. Period. And a survey? Do you know how many surveys they will get back? Yep let’s just develop our course study based on a handful of surveys. Maybe Ron Young can make this something he takes on as Commissioner. After all he did convene a panel on education when he and Mary Taylor first decided to run for this last election. Maybe Ron can talk to Willoughby-Eastlake schools and Auburn to find out what they are doing right. They are running circles around LCC. I’ll say it again…NOTHING will change at LCC until the “golden parachute” parasites are gone from that institution.
