We had a source tell us that Lake Tran is in financial difficulty again, and are thinking about placing another property tax levy on the November ballot.   We wanted to be proactive on this issue and have sent the following email to Lake Tran via their website.

Lobbyists for Citizens is a 501 c 4 non-profit dealing with Lake County issues.

1. We would like to know if there are any plans to place a property tax levy on the November 2019 ballot.  [Correction….we have been told that is not a property tax, but rather an increase in the sales tax that is being contemplated.  We are told that they are not funded by property tax.]
2. Do you consider the Community Bus Service as competition for Lake Tran?
3. We have heard that Lake Tran is in financial difficulty. We would like to have copies of the last 3 years financial statements.
