“Common Core Promotes Socialism and LGBTQ Lies”

Because of having been a classroom teacher for more than 33 years in 14 different schools, I know up-close-and-personal how much influence a teacher and curriculum can have on the way students think.
For those of us who are old enough either to remember World War II or to have had parents who remembered it well, we know Hitler knew exactly how to change the face of Germany and even of the world: It is done through indoctrinating children’s minds. This is exactly what has happened in America through Obama’s Common Core Standards.
In 2013 David Coleman (the “architect of the Common Core” who then became the president of The College Board that produces SAT, Pre-SAT, and Advanced Placement), publicly proclaimed that all College Board materials would be aligned to the Common Core Standards (2.28.13– “David Coleman Will Change SAT To Align with Common Core Standards” – by Diane Ravitch — http://dianeravitch.net/2013/02/28/david-coleman-will-change-the-sat-to-align-with-common-core/).
HOW DIABOLICALLY CLEVER
(1) Make sure our country’s millions of children are indoctrinated through the Common Core and its social justice agenda (including the LGBTQ dogma).
(2) Allow Bill Gates/Microsoft and vendors to make huge amounts of money by saturating schools with Common Core instructional materials (mostly digitized so that content can be changed with the click of a mouse).
(3) Hold students and teachers accountable to Common Core assessments.
(4) Create a huge national database with personally intrusive information so that millions of students, their families, and educators can be tracked cradle-to-grave.
(5) Make sure that students are dumbed down so that they cannot read well nor develop their logical/analytical higher-reading skills, thus leaving them open to low-level reading materials saturated with leftist indoctrination.

Unfortunately, very few adults, parents, and policymakers were listening to those of us who were trying so desperately to alert the public to the approaching dangers.
THE EMERGENCE OF “THE SQUAD”
Voila! Saturate the country with Common Core Standards/Advanced Placement/SAT/LGBTQ, and we are now seeing the emergence of the leftist/socialist/Communist young people who are engaged in community organizing, outrageous protests, and deadly violence across our nation. To their detriment, they are easily being misled by The Squad because of students’ having spent the last nine years soaking in Common Core/socialist/Communist indoctrination.
U. S. students who were in elementary school in 2010 are now in high school; and their lack of reading, writing, math, science, and social studies knowledge and skills is pervasive. Students who were in junior high in 2010 are currently populating our colleges and universities; and tenured professors are amazed at their students’ lack of basic knowledge and their twisted reasoning skills.
We who were educated through fact-based, traditional academics are astounded by young people such as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who reveal their ignorance every single day; but they are the products of exactly what Obama and his ilk meant to produce.
SOCIAL JUSTICE AGENDA INCLUDES LGBTQ LIES
Included in the Marxist/socialist/Communist indoctrination of the Common Core Standards is the “social justice agenda” which includes the very deceptive, dangerous, and many times deadly LGBTQ lifestyle.
When Obama came into office, he made sure that he changed the definition of “sex” in Title IX to mean “gender identity.” From that one major change has come the sick and morally disastrous consequences described in Joy Pullman’s 9.9.19 article in The Federalist entitled “How Illinois Schools teach Preschoolers to Celebrate Transgenderism” ( https://thefederalist.com/2019/10/09/how-illinois-schools-teach-preschoolers-to-celebrate-transgenderism/ ).

AP products were given a decidedly leftist, identity politics slant in recent revisions. These classes educate the nation’s top third of students and for many are the last history classes they ever take. Especially well-educated and high-income parents trust them as a way to get their kids a leg up on college and thus life. Yet they are rapidly being corrupted by leftist ideology.
Schock [Chicago area public school teacher] noted that she was teaching LGBT-themed materials before the Illinois law passed because the College Board integrated it into AP history classes in recent revisions…This means that even in states that have not mandated LGBT curriculum, bright students are likely to be exposed to it through AP classes, which also influence non-AP curriculum.
Teachers were given a lesson plan on slides that include movies and a teaching script to show and say to the children each day of the week. The children are shown, among other things, a video of someone reading aloud the book “Heather Has Two Mommies,” famous transgender teen Jazz Jenning reading his picture book “I Am Jazz,” a book read aloud on video called “My Princess Boy,” and the apparently highly awarded video below. The script tells teachers to use materials like these throughout the year, not just during LGBTQ+ Equity Week…
The curriculum teaches preschoolers and kindergarteners to compare mixed-race and adoptive families with families headed by same-sex couples and even possibly a polyamorous family — in this part of the video captured below, the boy says “My two moms are Marilyn and Adrian and my two dads are Michael and Barry.”
The children are also openly catechized in LGBT affirmations. For example, the script tells the teacher to say after one video: “OK. Let’s see what we learned. For each picture, you tell me if this is a family. Ready?” The children are clearly expected to say “Yes” to each.
The curriculum also introduces three-year-olds to the concepts of “lesbian,” “gay,” and “transgender.” In the slide below, the teacher script below the image directs teachers to tell the children, “If students say it is not a family, review definition – people who love you and care for you. When they say yes, agree! Yes some families have 2 moms.”
The script for the slide below directs teachers to tell preschoolers and kindergarteners, “Sometimes people use their bodies to help them know their gender, and some people know their gender in their heart.”
Other parts of the curriculum suggest to these small children that enjoying dress-up, playing with “boy toys” or “girl toys,” or loving people of either sex or both sexes might mean they are gay or transgender. It also tells children that clothes communicate nothing about one’s sex.
In the video of Jennings reading “I Am Jazz,” he tells the preschoolers that being transgender means “having a girl brain but a boy body.” After reading, he also looks into the camera and tells the children “you can be just like Jazz.”
WHAT IS THE ANSWER?
To draw our country back from the slippery slope of sheer destruction, I believe our best efforts have to be multi-faceted.
First, we have to teach those around us in our sphere of influence the basic truths found in traditional, fact-based sources; and we have to teach people how to recognize and verify information to make sure it is credible and not fake.
