Informed Consent

No medical intervention, no matter how worthy it is deemed to be, should ever be made mandatory, because mandatory medical interventions deprive the individual of the right to informed consent, and it denies the reality that some persons will be injured or killed by the intervention.
The other aspect of informed consent that many people fail to recognize is that a person who has given consent for a medical intervention can at any time withdraw prior consent without penalty.
