The Lake County Sheriff’s Office Training facility is one step closer to becoming a reality. This state of the art training facility, costing $787,799, will be used by all of Lake County law enforcement agencies, and was approved by the Lake County Commissioners. at the August 4, 2022 meeting.
The President of the Lake County Commissioners, John Hamercheck, a former Madison police officer, had this vision for increasing the safety for police officers and additional protection for the citizens. The facility will be located at the Lake County landfill, which is to be expanded, and the projected completion date is in the Fall of 2022..
