I’m no communist

I had no idea that this sign would be controversial in Mentor, Ohio.

We tried to find a date this song was created. Based on a sign in the video “Lindsay..the Commie” , we believe the sign referred to John Vliet Lindsay, an American politician and lawyer in the 1960’s. So we will unofficially date this song as created in the 1960’s.

We remember the 1960’s as tumultuous times with groups like “Weather Underground”, “Students for a Democratic Society”, and individuals like Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn. They all had the same goal of creating a revolutionary party to overthrow the United States government.

Six decades later, we are reaping what they have sown…the fruits from a diseased tree!

“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles?
