Willoughby-Eastlake School District Hires New Superintendent

Dear Willoughby-Eastlake City Schools Community,

We are delighted to share some exciting news with you! After a comprehensive process facilitated by the search firm Finding Leaders, the Willoughby-Eastlake City Schools Board of Education has selected Dr. Patrick Ward as the new Superintendent for our district.

Dr. Ward holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education from John Carroll University, two Master’s of Science degrees in Education from Walden University and Ursuline College, and a Doctorate in K-12 Leadership from Walden University. He has been serving as the Director of Curriculum for Mayfield City Schools and brings over two decades of experience in education to this position, including having previously served as the principal of South High School.

The Board of Education would like to thank you, our community, for your involvement in the search process. We look forward to working closely with Dr. Ward to provide the best possible education for the students of Willoughby-Eastlake City Schools.
The Board of Education will formally vote on Dr. Ward’s contract on April 10. His start date is August 1, 2023.
